IUKA – Start-up company Meridian Furniture held a ribbon cutting ceremony at recently renovated facilities in Iuka.

The company will initially employ 75 people, with as many as 150 jobs expected to be created as they expand.

Lt. Gov. Phil Bryant on Thursday joined Tishomingo County officials in welcoming the new business, which specializes in upholstery and living room furniture.

The project was supported by more than $400,000 in grants from the state and county.
