Mississippi State senior Jarvis Varnado was named first-team All-SEC by the Associated Press this afternoon. He was joined on the five-man squad by Kentucky’s DeMarcus Cousins and John Wall, South Carolina’s Devan Downey, and Georgia’s Trey Thompkins.
Varnado was also named first team by the coaches last week (an eight-man squad). Also, sophomore point guard Dee Bost earned AP honorable mention. The list in full (u=unanimous selection):
