Alabama running back Mark Ingram picked up first-place votes from both of our Heisman Trophy voters, Gene Phelps and Parrish Alford. (Is the Journal the smallest paper in the country with two Heisman voters? We have no idea.)

Here are their ballots:

Phelps: 1, Ingram. 2, Toby Gerhart, RB, Stanford. 3, Colt McCoy, QB, Texas.

Alford: 1, Ingram. 2, Colt McCoy, QB, Texas. 3, Tim Tebow, QB, Florida.

One popular Heisman projection site, StiffArmTrophy.com, has Ingram out front in their tally of known votes while warning that this could be one of the closest votes ever.

Imagine my surprise, a reporter in the south having Tebow in the top 3. And people still think the voting isnt a joke???
