The wildest football game of Saturday – and there were some wild ones – had to be No. 7 East Mississippi Community College’s 75-71 win against No. 3 Gulf Coast in Scooba.

We know what you’re thinking. No, it wasn’t in overtime, it was a regulation contest.

The winner claimed the MACJC state championship.

EMCC led 34-26 at halftime and the game was tied at 54 heading to the fourth quarter.

It was a monster night for East QB Randall Mackey, an Ole Miss commitment, who was 30 of 43 for 477 (updated) yards and seven touchdowns and also ran 18 times for 125 more.

Some guys could play a month and not account for 602 (updated) total yards.
