Some business owners in Saltillo are hoping that city leaders will listen to them tonight.

On the agenda at the meeting at City Hall is a discussion about allowing Sunday beer and light alcohol sales.

The businesses say they’re losing money to Tupelo now that the All-America city allows Sunday sales.

Saltillo Mayor Bill Williams said no vote will be taken tonight on the issue.

However, he did say that he does not support Sunday sales and doesn’t believe the Board of Alderman would support it either.

“I can’t speak for the board, but I wouldn’t vote for it and I don’t think it would pass, at least in this term,” he said.
