BATESVILLE, Ark. – Blue Mountain College’s season came to an end here Tuesday night when the Toppers dropped their second game in four days at Lyons College, 120-82, in the play-in round of the TranSouth Athletic Conference Tournament.
The Toppers, who finished their third season of NAIA competition with a 1-32 record. BMC’s lone win of the season came in a home game against Lyons, now 7-22.
The Scots, who travel to Jackson, Tenn., on Thursday to play top-seeded Union University, went on a 26-9 run to close the first half and opened the second half with an 11-2 burst.
Renell Collins had 17 points to lead BMC. Lakendrick McCullum, who had 34 points and 18 rebounds against the Scots on Saturday, was held to 9 points and 6 rebounds.
Lyons had a trio break the 20-point mark: James Jackson (28), Andy Lee (22) and Quinn Cooper (22).
